44 stalled housing projects completed in 2020: Research

Pune:
Forty-four stalled housing projects launched in the Pune region in 2013 or before were completed in 2020, a report by property consultancy firm Anarock revealed.
The 44 housing projects comprised around 14,500 units. Anarock, in its research, said around 230 housing projects were still “stuck” in the region, which comprised around 80,000 units valued at Rs 49,700 crore, the third-highest in the country after NCR and MMR.
Credai Pune Metro said litigation between various parties over land or construction issues were largely to be blamed for any delayed projects. “There are also issues sometimes over transit-oriented development, or if clearance is needed from the Ministry of Defence for a project,” said Suhas Merchant, president of CREDAI Pune Metro.
