What is the best company to start a new career in real estate and insurance sales Casuality?
I try to change careers and interested in the property and Casuality Insuranse sales. Even if I do not have insurance sales exp., I do not have approximately 10 years of sales and customer service exp. Im interested in finding the company that would be best to start with and which offers the best training programs. If anyone has any knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated. P & C insurance is essentially based on the rate. There just is not much difference between policies. As such, I would check with the Big 3: Farmer's Allstate, State Farm, they all have similar training, focus on the entire territory (they are in place in a certain area where there is not another agent). With P & C because it is based on the rate, you will have the most success by selling the bonds, by which people will stay with you, instead of shopping for the best rate every year. I would avoid companies like Prudential, American National, etc. because they are mainly the life insurance companies and as such do not support the P & C as strongly as they just use it to get in the door to sell insurance life. Another thing to consider is the saturation. You may want to consider not so well known companies (such as American Family, etc.) if they are a "push" in your state and / or region. People always want to be part of something 'new' and it is easier to approach people as they will not be able to say "I have already received an award from (state farm, Farmer's, etc.) Good luck and congratulations to the start of an exciting and rewarding new career!
